OMi-Vista - interactive projection

OMi-Vista is a sensational multi-sensory medium that provides immersive interaction by projecting dynamic images onto virtually any white or light coloured surface. Users simply move on the surface of the projected image to change what is seen and heard.

Interactive content:

OMi-Vista is pre-programmed with an extensive package of over 50 fun and educational applications created using the Wipe, Splat and Water templates. These applications have been specially developed in conjunction with leading educators and sensory practitioners. This spectacular content package is common to all Templates - so if you would like to opt for a different selection of Templates, simply mention it when placing your order.

OMi-Vista also allows users to create play lists of their favourite applications and design their own interactive settings by adding personal images, sounds and videos.

How does it work?

Central to the OMi-Vista is a formidable software programme that is driven by a highly advanced movement tracking system. It reads the precise position of movement within the projected area at any given time enabling real-time changes to the content.

OMi-Vista creates a virtual two-layered image. Using data collected by the movement tracking system it makes real-time changes to the top layer creating stunning effects while revealing the bottom image.

The system:

The OMi-Vista system is supplied with a multi-media PC, audio system, movement tracking system, OMi-Vista software licence and three templates pre-configured with a host of interactive settings. The package also includes two on-site training sessions.

Templates:

There are currently 10 different templates available. All templates can be easily updated with pictures (Jpeg/PNG), videos (Mpeg/AVI) and sound files (Wav/MP3). Each template produces a different type of response when interacted with. Parameters such as sensitivity, speed, intensity, direction, return delay and many others can all be configured to produce an infinite number of effects.

OMi-Vista systems are supplied with Wipe, Water and Splat templates as standard.

Wipe: Upon interaction the top image is wiped away showing a smooth glowing transition effect as the lower image is gradually revealed.

Water: A realistic water effect, which when interacted with creates a ripple effect and distorts the underlying image. Users have the option to add fish to each water application.

Splat: Animated objects appear randomly on the surface and try to avoid users. When a user stomps on an object it produces an animation accompanied by a sound.

Alternative templates are Scatter, Tiles, Smash, Catch Game, Football Game, Trail and Hunt Game.

Projectors:

To complete the OMi-Vista system a video projector is required. the projector specification can be determined upon site survey when confirming suspension height, image size requirement and level of ambient light.

If you already have an audiovisual projector it can be configured as part of the installation.

All items require installation except the Omi-Trolleys
