  • Saving Grace with a Safe Room

For many conditions where people may be at risk of injury from challenging or destructive behaviour, or a tendency to self-harm, a custom built safe space can prove invaluable. Designed as a room within a room and built of industrial strength material, combined with a thick, padded floor, they significantly reduce the danger of harm from hard surfaces such as walls and furniture.

Bubble Screens

Bubble Screens are at the heart of sensory environments, drawing attention and interest through the constantly changing colours and moving bubbles.

SensoryPlus have invested considerable resource into redesigning the bubble-based product range to ensure a high quality performance, light intensity and interactivity to meet the needs of different users and different environments.

All bubble-based products are underpinned by LED (light emitting diode) technology providing purer, stronger colour that permeates the entire product with greater effect. The traditional problems of noisy cooling fans, replacing lamps and colour wheels failing are a thing of the past.

From passive colour changing bubble screens through to interactive bubble-based products that encourage bubble and colour control through sound or touch meet a wide range of service user needs.

Promoting interactivity with Bubble Screens

Encouraging hand-eye co-ordination and developing cause and effect skills we have a range of interactive bubble screens available. There are different levels of product interactivity dependent on the needs of the service users.

Types of interactivity available:

Passive Bubble Screens

Colours constantly change within the bubbles.

8 Channel Interactive Wireless Bubble Screen

Through interaction with 7 push buttoned wireless control box the colours of the bubble screens can be changed facilitating choice, independence and skill development for the user. The 8th button, controls the bubbles - on and off.

This version does not incorporate the use of switches.

4 or 8 Channel MLT Interactive Wireless Bubble Screens

Control either 4 or 7 colours of the bubble screens via the wireless control box or by using switches plugged into the jack sockets around the side of the control box. The 8th button, where appropriate, controls the bubbles - on and off. These bubble-based packages can be configured to match the ability and concentration level of the user via the MLT control facility.

M = Momentary (Press on, release off)

L = Latched (Press on, press off)

T = Timed (Press on, pre-set time elapses and the effect goes off)

Any standard jack plug switch can be used to drive this effect.

Switches are not included with the MLT Interactive Wirelass packages.
