Seating Awareness Days

Come and join the Kirton team and Fiona Collins on one of our fun and informative one-day seminars all about the importance of specialist seating.

Well-known seating and pressure care specialist Fiona Collins will present an eye-opening series of sessions looking not only at seating theory but practical solutions to specialist seating as well as a brief insight into the professional accountability. There are plenty of opportunities for questions scattered throughout the day too!

Fiona Collins MSc DipCOT

Fiona Collins is an occupational therapist with 20 years' experience in pressure ulcer prevention and management. Specialising in posture and seating, Fiona's clinical expertise has gained her a national reputation within the seating arena.

 

Why attend a Seating Awareness Day?

 

To gain a comprehensive understanding of the need for specialist seating within healthcare environments;

• To understand how to prescribe the correct seating system for the changing needs of an individual user.
• The day will aim to increase knowledge and develop an understanding on the principles of seating including posture and positioning, pressure management and tissue viability.

Attendees do not require any previous clinical experience, however a desire to learn more about the needs of individuals, the current thinking and considerations for prescribing specialist seating and understanding the broad range of products available is key to the day.
